How do I register?

Registrations for Saltwatch 2005 have closed.

What happens after I register?

Upon receipt of your registration form the EPA will confirm your participation via fax or post.

In the week leading up to the Saltwatch event you will receive your Saltwatch Kit. The kit will contain:

  • Instructions for Saltwatch 2005
  • A Data Record Sheet (109KB PDF)
  • Calibration solution (to replace any existing out of date calibration solution)
  • 2 quality control solutions (otherwise known as mystery solutions)
  • A return envelope to post you data back to the EPA by 27 May 2005.

What happens during Saltwatch Snapshot?

During Saltwatch Snapshot you should:

  • Test your mystery solutions
  • Visit and monitor your local site
  • Record your information on the data record sheet
  • Send your data record sheet to the EPA by 27 May 2005

When will I receive my Saltwatch results?

Soon after the Saltwatch Snapshot, all participants will receive confirmation of the accuracy of their results from the mystery solution testing.

Mid year, feedback will also be provided on salinity levels on a state and regional basis. Feedback comes in the form of an A3 fact sheet that includes a map, tables of data and a brief interpretation of the results.

Feedback information will be made available on the Waterwatch website.
